Bramble off in stalemate

Titus Bramble was sent off as Sunderland ended their German tour with a goalless draw against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Black Cats defender Bramble was given his marching orders 19 minutes from time for two bookable offences.

Connor Wickham had Sunderland's best chance of the first half on the half-hour mark when he fired narrowly wide after being set up by strike partner Ji Dong-won.

Bramble saw red on 71 minutes when he brought down Monchengladbach substitute Mathew Leckie on the edge of the box.

Former Arsenal defender Havard Nortveit missed a great chance to put Monchengladbach in front soon after when he headed wide.
